Dr Nicola Walsh qualified from Glasgow University, Scotland, in 1983 and, following completion of her mandatory training in medicine and surgery, immediately embarked on a 3-year General Practice training programme, which included stints in Accident & Emergency, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Psychiatry and Paediatrics as well as GP practice. She has been a Member of The Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) since 1990. She has undergone further training throughout her career and holds additional Diplomas in Child Health (DCH), Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG) and Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH). Dr Walsh has a wealth of experience in all aspects of General Practice but particularly enjoys Paediatrics and Cardiology and is passionate about ensuring quality palliative care for terminally ill patients.
In her spare time, Dr Walsh enjoys reading, baking and listening to classical music and has now begun learning to play the violin as her latest challenge.
